This morning I decided to take a look at what was happening at New York Fashion Week. NY Magazine's The Cut is my go-to resource to see if new or different local designers are showing. I was a tad surprised when I saw The Cut's headline article about Alexander Wang's big party last night.
Wang held a party that seemed to celebrate fast fashion, which he did by seemingly mocking the slow food movement and dare I take it a step further by say consumerism in general. NY Mag said, "After all, what better way to celebrate fashion with a looming expiration date than snacks with distant ones?"
The good news is that after a quick review of some of the shows, I was able to easily put together a stunning list of items shown this past week by designers who all support local manufacturing.
